The logo was intended to associate with Prof. Dr. Jim Cummins‘ Common Under-
lying Proficiency model of bilingualism. When assessing language, a focus on
above language performance without reflecting underneath surface language
competences, may not be sufficient.
Moreover, the lense shall symbolize that multilingualism may augment and enhance
a person‘s understandings, views and ideas.
That is, cultural and linguistic diversity may offer alternative and extra meanings.
